Some Tough Decisions
Like many of you, I’ve been monitoring the development of COVID-19, while trying to remain calm, but also informed. Last week one by one, all my scheduled events for March and April were cancelled in following with the government guidelines. Though admittedly I am not very happy about this turn of events I do understand and only want to look out for the well-being of my friends, family, community and myself, as I fall into the group of people with a compromised immune system.
With that being said I feel it is my responsibility to do what I can and therefore will be postponing and rescheduling my two workshops planned for this week in Kincardine.
This was a very hard decision to make as a small creative business and not one that was made lightly. Though at this moment I feel this event is very low risk with the situation changing daily, it is safer to air on the side of caution. If you have signed up for the workshop you will be notified of the new date once that is set. My hopes are for May.
If you were hoping to see me at upcoming spring events I encourage you to visit my website or get in touch. I will be going ahead with my shop update on Friday, March 20th adding as many of my new creations as I can. If you are interested in a custom order this is also a great time to get in touch and start planning something spectacular. I’ll have the time. :) I am also planning to jump on IG or FB live to show you some crafty projects and behind the scene messiness.
Please continue to support local small business however you can during this difficult period. We appreciate your love and support!! If you are not in a position to offer monetary support right now – that is okay, lots of us aren’t!! Please do comment and share on social media - that actually really helps!!
Please also be safe! Be mindful of your fellow humans, check-in on neighbours and reach out to those in need. Take a break from all the news reports and heavy social media, be creative, dance, sing, play!!
This too shall pass!!
All my love,
Rex
